Here is a little story

As PPE shortages started to become the norm, Haryn De Leon (LCS - Laser Cutting Shop) and Jan Zwierstra were pulled into a large scale face shield project(hundreds of thousands of units). The objective was to support local healthcare institutions with readily available PPE and keep the lights on at a few businesses.
As our involvement in the large scale project ramped down we discovered workers outside of large medical networks still could not get PPE.  Requests from friends, first responders, law enforcement, grocery checkers, nurses, and small facilities started to pour in.

We began giving PPE away to friends and friend-of-friends, spending late nights sewing masks and laser cutting face shields with whatever extra material was available.  This effort slowly evolved into an opportunity to keep unemployed friends working at home while providing in-stock PPE to those in need.

When a friend at Belkin contacted us regarding donating some PET/Plastic material, we got excited and started the process of ramped up a small batch with die-cutting tooling to support the community.

We currently have 1000 face shields die-cut and prepped for assembly, packing, and hopefully initial distribution locally by the end of the week. Out intent is to sell online and distribute in person locally directly to individuals and a few non-profits

Now if we can just track down that missing UPS shipment of Uline shipping supplies.
